Sephora Sun Safety Kit 2014

A lot of people have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Sephora Sun Safety Kit. As soon as my email came through giving early access for VIB & VIB Rouge members, I was all over it! Right after the emails were sent out to VIB members they were completely sold out! Some stores have them in stock for purchase though, so just call around to your local store if you're still looking to get your hands on this great set.

My favorite thing about purchasing this was knowing that $20 of my purchase is going to The Skin Cancer Foundation. That's a very generous amount towards charity when the cost of the kit is only $32 online!

The only items I have tried previously are the Murad Oil-Control Mattifier (which I LOVE! I apply before makeup application) and the Bare Minerals READY touch up veil (Which I apply after makeup application).

I just got this kit about a week ago and haven't had a chance to test out and use most of what's included, but I will say that I am in love with the Too Faced chocolate soleil bronzer! It smells delicious, just like chocolate! It's got great pigmentation and works great for me to contour my cheekbones, as well as around my hairline and jawline.  I prefer to use my Real Techniques contour brush, which comes in the Core Collection set.  It works beautifully to blend out the bronzer without any harsh lines.

The items are enclosed in a re-useable travel bag with a see through window that mimics that of a sun. Its flexible, durable and would work great for carrying items to the beach or wherever your Summer travels lead you!

Once I test and review all the products I'll add my feedback on what I feel about them. The best thing about this kit is you get to try deluxe samples of brands and products to test out before investing in full sizes. Some of these brands are on the expensive side, so it's nice to try it out to see if it works for you prior to purchase. I love all of Sephora's well put together sets and the Sun Safety is probably my most loved each year! We all need a reminder sometimes to not over do it in the sun and remember, apply sunscreen 30 minutes before going out into the sun and reapply every two hours! Reapplication is very important to ensure you're protected from the sun! Use the proper SPF to suit your needs and if you aren't sure, research skincancer.org for more information.
